SMOOTHIES, CRACKERS AND CRACKIN UP

We got a chance to visit Dad at work this week. So he was able to take a small break and enjoy a smoothie with us.

Well, this was also the first time we have ever met in person our 'internet' friends. Mom and babe have known us since before Calliope was born, and Sophie is just 2 days younger. They were in the city for a visit, and as soon as we saw them, we knew who they were. Funny, how all this time we've just seen them through photos, but yet shared so much of the girls growing.

We celebrated a good busy season at work with a Staff dinner. The boss thinks it would be a great idea to implement a new look for our future employees... wha da ya think?

AUGUST 11TH WEEKEND

Another eventful weekend at our house.

The weather was just perfect to take Calliope to the farm... and little did we know, there is one just 5 minutes from our house! Calliope had a Hay Day(pun intended) she had so much fun seeing the animals that she only sees in her books. Her new word?... yup..

HORSE!!

Dad was pretty scared of it, but I will say, it was a very big horse!

BC DAY LONG WEEKEND

So, someone left a stroller in the living room, not folded up... (clear my throat) Dad. Calliope and Mom walked, and walked, and walked circles through out the house all morning.

Things don't always go her way :) Like wanting to climb the stairs, just one more time. All summer we have been craving a picnic with KFC... good ol' greasy chicken. So we went to Porteau Cove thats what we did, got drunk on a bucket of the crispy stuff.

(needless to say, we felt sick all weekend after that)

But is was worth the memories.

We played in the sand, on the rocks and in the water...brrr, it's cold.

At Nana and Grandad's we picked fresh Grape leaves and made Dolmathes... ok, Calliope did a better job of eating the dolmathes, than picking leaves. But its always fun to be at their house.
