TIS THE SEASON

Notice that Calliope has on 2 shirts? one being size 12 months that she found in a box of old clothes. She loves dressing up in almost anything she can find that will fit on arms, legs, fingers, her head. We need to start a tickle trunk for her. Yesterday she was walking around in Yannis' pants, a stocking ornament and a Christmas hat. BeautifulOur big man has started eating food! Wow, where did the time go. It is recommended to wait at least 6 months before trying solids. I remember when I started breastfeeding Calliope that I thought 6 months was going to be an eternity! With Yannis, 6 months has flown by and I can't believe he is old enough to be even thinking about solids. So far he loves his food, just like any T******s boy would : Yahoo it's Christmas! We got our first real Christmas tree this year. Many years ago, Steve bought a false one and almost spent a fortune on it. We swore we were going to use it for 10 years and that would make it worth it. We are a few years short of our goal, but we got this GREAT tree at Ikea for $20. So I guess it was worth it to get a real one this year :)

REASON #3 Screaming Kids create more Screaming kids

9:30 # 2 wakes up for a usual feed
9:40 #2 gets back into bed
9:42 #2 wakes back up
9:44 #1 is awake
9:45 Steve heads up with bouncy chair to the rescue
....conversations begin
10:05 #2 is asleep in the bouncy chair
10:06 #1 is wild that Dad isn't staying to sleep in the big chair
.... conversations continue (in a screaming matter)
10:20 mom heads in
10:21 #2 is Breastfeeding again
10:40 #2 is falling asleep... again
10:45 #1 is calm enough that we can leave
11:00 lights are out, #1 is wispering to her animals.. and I'm going to bed, probably not to sleep, but to bed

TWAS THE NIGHT....

So here I am 8:04pm. The kids are in bed, the only thing is, they are in the same bedroom! This might not seem like a big deal to some, but I am thinking this is the calm before the storm. They chatted a little and now not a creature is stirring.

Yannis has been off with a bad stomach the last 2 months. We haven't had a full night sleep in what seems like forever. Ok, so we had a full night sleep last night, but other than that, it's been a couple of months at least. And when I say we, I mean Yannis and I. Steve and Calliope sleep like logs. So I have been putting off having them share a room, first of all because it's not on the same floor as us. Second because of his bad belly, he wakes up in pain screaming. And third, well, I'm not sure what the third reason is... but I know there is one. Maybe after tonight I'll tell you what the third reason is.

to all a good night!
