WELCOME TO OUR FAMILY FLU
It's been 4 days since I have brushed my hair.
My eyes hurt to look in any direction other than forward and my eyelids sting.
My lips are burning they are so hot.
Our meals have been yogurt and blueberries, wonton soup, crackers, crackers and cheese, goldfish crackers, ice cream, OJ, water, water and warm water.
We've watched : Stewart Little, Stewart Little 2 x2, Bee Movie x2, Ratatouille, Charlotte's Web x2 and little bits of my Oprah 20th anniversary.
We've had fevers as high as 104.6
I have no idea who had what medication when.
Our London Drugs budget is through the roof. (not that we had a London Drugs budget)
Laundry day came and went, the dishwasher has only been on once this week because we are too tired to load it.
We haven't stayed up past 9:30 and haven't dragged ourselves out of bed past 9 am.
oh, serenity now!

DO YOU HEAR ME?
I was just re watching my Oprah 20th anniversary video. Sometimes I get a bit board or want to watch something while I fold laundry. (we are cableless at our home) Most of the time I end up in tears about something so heart warming or sad or enjoyable.
Oprah was refering to how everyone wants to be acknowledged, especially children.
Did you hear me?
Do you see me? Do you REALLY see me?
Does what I'm saying really matter to you?
Today, I will become more aware... to listen and really watch those little people at my feet.

THE HOLIDAY SEASON
Well here he is... already 1/2 a year old! our little elf for Christmas
To celebrate the season we took the kids to have breakfast with Santa in the North Pole! (one of the local mountains) It was really fun, as we took the gondola up we told the kids that we were heading up to Santa's workshop. It really added to the spirit of Santa's house.
The elusive man himself!
Santa made it to breakfast bringing 2 of his reindeer. This is Blitzen.... and by the way, reindeer are much smaller than what I thought!

Calliope also tried skating for the first time on a frozen pond! I really thought that because it was -13 that day, and she had fallen a couple of times that she wouldn't like it. But she loved it!
Of course breakfast didn't come without meeting the good man himself. Yannis had the guts... Calliope not so, she just waved from afar. Well not really afar, more like from her breakfast table.
Our tree on Christmas Eve... just moment before our power went out! Nothing like freezing your buns off on a snowy winter's night!
We needed the fire on! We wouldn't have made it through the night without it. I guess almost the whole city had the power go out for a while. Ours was out for a whole 12 hours. Steve tried some old fashion techniques to heat a cup of coffee... non of which worked.
Buster and his gifts! torn apart in minutes.
Christmas dinner... finally Mom isn't at the 'kids' table anymore, there is a whole new generation to fill it!
