JULY 28TH WEEKEND

What a great way to start a week, a very fun visit with some of my friends from High school. Talking about things that I hope my daughter won't remember!
This weekend...
Calliope got a balloon while we were out for lunch , and then wouldn't take it off all day! Nana and Grandad took Calliope to the park. And of course, let loose, letting Calliope get much dirtier than Mom would... but that's a good thing!

here's the dirt
oh, so she is getting a little sneaky too... climbing on things!

End the weekend with a kiss!

Calliope also has decided that it's time to walk... not quite by herself, but pushing the stroller. It's funny how she has found this new independence and has already made it quite clear that it's not fun to sit anymore. We took a walk around the neighbourhood twice this weekend... which ended up being almost 45 minutes doing 2 blocks! haha I've said it before... but this growing stage is simply amazing. We love watching her explore and entertain herself. Just watching her eyes and trying to figure out what she is thinking... we'll never know. Her new favorite word this week is "meow" when she sees a cat. She'll even point one out before we see it.... and even more impressive, before Buster sees it! Buster is becoming more and more patient with her... she loves to go over to him and rub his back, point to his nose, ears and eyes. She will mawl him, and he just takes it. They are definitely becoming great friends. Calliope always thought of him as fun, but I think its only now ,15 months later, that Buster is accepting her as one of us. (the jealousy is disappearing) Probably because as she gets older, we don't have to tend to her so much. We have a little more time again to spend with Bubba and he loves it. Only after 6 years (dedect my sarcasm) we can take him to the park and play ball with him. We would have never been able to do that 2 years ago unless it was completely fenced. I know that many family and friends knew his wildness first hand! (I won't mention names:)
