THE HOLIDAY SEASON

Well here he is... already 1/2 a year old! our little elf for ChristmasTo celebrate the season we took the kids to have breakfast with Santa in the North Pole! (one of the local mountains) It was really fun, as we took the gondola up we told the kids that we were heading up to Santa's workshop. It really added to the spirit of Santa's house. The elusive man himself!Santa made it to breakfast bringing 2 of his reindeer. This is Blitzen.... and by the way, reindeer are much smaller than what I thought!Calliope also tried skating for the first time on a frozen pond! I really thought that because it was -13 that day, and she had fallen a couple of times that she wouldn't like it. But she loved it!Of course breakfast didn't come without meeting the good man himself. Yannis had the guts... Calliope not so, she just waved from afar. Well not really afar, more like from her breakfast table.
Our tree on Christmas Eve... just moment before our power went out! Nothing like freezing your buns off on a snowy winter's night! We needed the fire on! We wouldn't have made it through the night without it. I guess almost the whole city had the power go out for a while. Ours was out for a whole 12 hours. Steve tried some old fashion techniques to heat a cup of coffee... non of which worked. Buster and his gifts! torn apart in minutes. Christmas dinner... finally Mom isn't at the 'kids' table anymore, there is a whole new generation to fill it!
Spent with loved ones... and Coco is LOVED by her cuz. Our almost record snowfall... believe it or not, we had 1 more centermetre to go!

GETTING READY FOR XMAS

Well, it's been a while since i've been on here.... So, HI!!! We've managed to fit alot in the last few weeks, and all seems to be getting ready for Christmas. We started off 2 weekends ago with a trip to the Santa Claus Parade, it was nice, a little cold but a beautiful sunny day. The next day was a trip up to Seymour Mountain... what a beautiful view.

Stanley park, after dark Hard to tell here, but this is my big war wound from Capoeira. I would say my first injury... to tell you the truth I thought I had broken it, but after a day or so, I could walk again. So of course I went to class again the next day and hurt another toe! So, lets just say I am going to take it easy over the next few weeks, and let my poor purple foot heal.
OUR FIRST SNOW FALL!

as fast as it came... it went :( We took advantage of playing with snow flakes, throughing snow balls at Buster and a few snaps of the Camera. It was beautiful, and deep, and later that evening, we had MAJOR rain, the Pinapple express made it's way from Hawaii all the way to Vancouver. +11 degrees on the first day of Dec!
Our first Snow man! So, We tried to take some photos for this years Christmas cards.. but as you can tell, it didn't go over that well with the 'subject' so a few photos and it was over :(
Ok, so there were a couple of good shots
And last but not least our photo with Santa. She knows who he is, but really doesn't know what he does. (we'll let her figure out that on her own) We stood in line, she said 'Santa' and we talked about his glasses, that looked like Nana's. His boots that looked like Uncle D's. His red outfit like her dress, and that we were going to take a picture. She was happy, we put her on his lap and all she could say was 'Down, Down Mommy' hahaha. So although she was pumped, she wasn't as excited as we were! hahahaha
What a difference from last year!
